Unknown or Unchecked People
Being those people whose nature (celestial, ethereal or mortal) is either in
doubt or has never in fact been checked by the angels.

Mary Green
Joanna Jennings
Helen Williams
Coral Wilson
Five women who live upstairs at Giuseppe's nightclub, which, it should be
remembered, is or was also a brothel. Since the angels never met them, or at
least not for more than a few seconds while blowing up demons, they aren't
getting individual entries ('cos I'm getting tired!).
Mel Herald is, or at least was, PC Justin Wells'
regular partner. She disappeared with him during the emergency response to
the crash of Flight 8081, and after Wells' recovery was seen walking off
apparently happily with their abductors. Something funny is going on here.
A young man in a suit and tie waiting in the Arrivals lounge at Heathrow
Airport on the morning that Flight 8081 crashed. Name determined by use of
the Seraph of Destiny attunement. So now you know.
One of the policemen at Chiswick station where
Blakely works, and the speaker-to-mortals
in the investigation into Jane Weaver's
murder. DS Martins is a fairly average officer with a lazy streak a mile
wide when his DI isn't monopolising his time.
Yet another officer known to Blakely, PC
McClennan was one of those who accompanied the foresnic doctor down the
sewers where Justin Wells was found.
Shelly McKenzie is a good-looking woman, that's for certain. Chocolate brown
skin tones, eyebrows to die for — men notice this sort of thing. Well,
women do. She's also easy to get on with, very friendly — but then she
is a psychiatric nurse, and that's part of the job description. She also
cooks a mean curry, the thing that has really hooked her husband
Andrew (at least according to him!). On
the whole, what's not to like, unless you have a particular problem with
American accents?
Well, the fact that she has claimed to be psychic is the main thing upsetting
the local angels. That she apparently picked up on Justin Wells' pain and
made a beeline for him — through the sewars — is bound to raise
suspicions amongst people actively looking for demonic involvement. That she
has done her best to hide the involvement of another bunch of people really
hasn't gone down well with the more law-and-order oriented. And her active
suspiciousness of the Seraph planted in her
husband's employ hasn't made anyone rest easier. That said Seraph hasn't
yet got a useful resonance on her is just par for the course with Excel.
Oh yes — she did manage to calm down a potential fight rather quickly. But
then she is a psychiatric nurse…
The man who lived with Amanda Wood eighteen
years ago, shortly before David was born.
None of the party have ever seen him.
A name mentioned in passing by Zack as the
person who told him to expect aid, and refered to as Zack's uncle. Possibly
connected to the guy in the Far Marches.
Or not. The angels have no data to go on.
A bunch of South American Indians were discovered down the sewers where
Justin Wells was recovered. It is believed they were
the kidnappers, and they have subsequently been seen with
Melanie Herald apparently walking along without a care
in the world. More importantly, they seem to be able to envelope themselves
in some form of white fire that has unusual Celestial effects (i.e. it's very
hot and it did some weird twanging on angels' Forces). The Servitors of
Lightning would like to know more.
There was a chap acting out of place at the airport, then later at the plane
crash. The angels never did find out any more about him. Heheheheh.
A young constable at the same station that
Blakely works from, Justin Wells came to
the attention of the local angels when he took an undue interest in the
doings of Alex Verison. Since Wells had a
slight reputation for laziness, and Alex's not-quite-stepson-yet David Wood was known to be being watched by a
Djinn, alarms were raised. And stayed raised, despite panning out as human
to all available covert tests; the angels asserted that he must be a Gamester
with the Humanity attunement. It would be classic Game tactics after all.
Now that he has been recovered, horribly burned, from an unscheduled trip
down the sewars, and has been retested after being guaranteed unconscious for
twenty four hours, and still checks out as human (well, as having
"Justin" as he True Name anyway), they aren't so sure any more.
Maybe he's just Hellsworn. Maybe he's just in the wrong place at the wrong
time. Maybe the angels are going to have to get less subtle. Who knows?
Another officer at the Chiswick police station, DS Winters has been involved
in a number of investigations that Blakely
has worked on. Most recently, he was the police accident coordinator for the
aircraft crash on the M4, and has de facto charge of the investigation into
the disappearance of PC Wells and
WPC Herald as a result. Normally quite a cheerful
bloke, DS Winters hasn't had a lot to laugh about of late.
